Introducing Andrew Kyle - Our Newest Congo Initiative UK, Board Member

A picture of new board member, Andrew Kyle

Andrew was born and spent many of his formative years in Congo, where his parents served as missionaries alongside the McAllisters, among others. Since returning to Northern Ireland at the age of 13, he has retained a deep interest in mission and a love for Congo. From teenage years Andrew was very involved in Young Life, and spent many summer weeks with United Beach Missions in Ireland, eventually leading teams until his late twenties, when his priorities switched to parenthood.

Andrew continued to encourage mission work through various church roles, and is the current Mission Secretary of Hamilton Road Baptist Church in Bangor.

Following a degree in Computer Science and Business Administration from Queen's University, Belfast, he has spent most of his career in technology roles. In 2022 he started working for Christian relief and development charity Tearfund as a Strategy Business Partner for Information, Digital and Technology. He now leads a team of business analysts who support the organisation in various business and technology projects. Andrew is passionate about seeing technology used well for the furtherance of God’s kingdom.

Andrew supports various ministries through his graphic design skills, and also provides IT support for Seafarers’ Christian Friend Society, where his wife, Claire, works. They have three adult children.

We pray for Andrew, Claire and the family and especially his ministry at Congo Initiative UK.

We are blessed to have someone with Andrew's experience, now part of the CIUK team.
